2021 Red Nose Day raises over £52million

A stonking £52,025,485 has been raised by the British public during this year’s Red Nose Day for Comic Relief, with donations still pouring in.

Friday night’s TV extravaganza was hosted by Lenny, Davina McCall, Paddy McGuinness, Alesha Dixon and David Tennant and featured live performances, hilarious sketches and one-off comedy specials, while also showcasing the incredible impact that donations have in the UK and across the world.

In response to the amount raised, Lenny said: “You are brilliant. Thank you so much to EVERYONE who donated money. You rock!”

If you missed it, you can watch the whole show, including: a bespoke sketch from the cast of the hit series ‘Staged’ (with a guest appearance from Lenny); ‘2020: The Movie’, starring Keira Knightley, Michael Sheen and KSI; ‘Normal People vs Fleabag’, in the mash-up you never you needed and much more here: bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000t941/comic-relief-2021-red-nose-day
